Orthopedic Services - Bone and Joint

Animals that limp or favor a leg ARE in PAIN. Dogs and cats rarely vocalize when they hurt. Instead, they favor the body part that is painful, thus producing a limp.

Packerland Veterinary Center is uniquely qualified to care for and provide solutions to lameness problems. The Animal Bone and Joint Clinic at PVC is led by Dr. Allen Dunbar. Dr. Dunbar has over 25 years of experience treating orthopedic conditions and has lectured at veterinary conferences on numerous orthopedic topics.

The training, equipment, and services that Packerland can offer the orthopedic patient are often only available at specialized teaching hospitals. We have brought cutting edge technology to our practice to provide our patients with the best care that is available anywhere. Whether it's the new T.P.L.O. procedure for knee ligament injuries, arthroscopic procedures for minimally invasive joint surgery, or the latest techniques in fracture repair, Packerland is dedicated to providing your pet with the best care available.

Dr. Dunbar and Staff,

Cheri and I truly appreciate the service we recently received from Packerland Veterinary Center for Jessie, our Yellow Lab. She is healing just fine.

We also appreciate the totally professional treatment we always receive from you, your Assistant Chris and your entire staff. This relates not only to Jessie, but to last year when your diagnosis for Lucas, our Lab Mix puppy was not good. You helped us deal with a very trying event, and helped us make Lucas’ short life as good as it could be.

Before that, 16 years ago, you helped us with hip replacement surgery for our Airedale Max. You may have long forgotten about this surgery with all the pets you deal with every day, but we will always remember the five wonderful years Max enjoyed with us after hip surgery.

Thank you very much for all the service you have given us over the years. We will continue to use Packerland Veterinary Center as needed and recommend ou to our friends.

Greg and Cheri
