Whoever said that the eyes are windows to the soul knew what they were talking about. At Packerland we know that your pet's eyes and vision are very important and we are experienced with various procedures to help treat eye disease and improve overall eye health. The eyes are very delicate organs and it is important to treat them with the utmost care. Many problems can plague the eyes, from mild irritation or infection to vision-threatening glaucoma. Ocular problems must be treated promptly and professionally to ensure the best outcome. Our veterinarians are trained to diagnose and treat injuries as well as a variety of eye ailments such as glaucoma, dry eye and cataracts. If you notice any of the following, we recommend you call our office for advice: squinting, cloudiness, eye discharge, redness, swelling, or loss of vision. Eye changes can also be an indication that your pet is suffering from a different problem- we have seen eye changes from diabetes, high blood pressure, systemic (body-wide) infections, or bleeding disorders. In some of these cases, the eye changes are the first thing pet parents notice. If your pet has an eye problem, let us know because we are here to help.
